Lubbers Quarters Cay is a three hundred acre island just a 10 minute boat ride south of Hope Town on Elbow Cay. This beautiful island is almost all residential with the sole exception being the very popular Cracker P's Restaurant near the north end of the island. A lovely series of roads run around and through the island, making for delightful walking.

Abaco Pink Palm Cottage is near the South end of the island, just 35' from the water's edge with its own white sand beach surrounded by palm trees. Its location is perfect for taking advantage of the prevailing breezes. A substantial dock is shared with the house next door. There is a picnic table right off the beach.

The open design cottage with cathedral ceiling and skylights has 2 bedrooms (queens) and 1 full tiled bath. There is a modern kitchen and a living and dining area. Maximum number of people accomodated is 5. The house is equipped with linens, towels, paper products and almost everything you will need in the kitchen. There are ceiling fans, a VHF radio, AM/FM CD cassette player and a gas grille. Air conditioning equipment is in place and will be hooked up in July 04. A deck faces the water with views towards Tilloo Cay. Yachts heading south from Hope Town pass by right off our dock.

You could swim on our beach or read a book under the palms all day long but the best part of a vacation in Abaco is renting a center console outboard boat and exploring Abaco. Within 25 miles north are many islands to explore. Four of them have quaint villages that were founded in the 1700's. They are tidy and prosperous with narrow streets, picket fences, old colonial houses, and flowering vegetation and palms. Each village has a mix of restaurants, boutiques, art galleries, and grocery stores, etc. Abaco has everything- wonderful beaches, great fishing, great diving and snorkeling, friendly people, and no neon.

When you return to Abaco Pink Palm Cottage after a day of exploring, you'll enjoy a cool drink on the deck or a last swim of the day. Later walk up to Cracker P's for dinner or cook fresh fish for dinner. The adventurous can boat up to White Sound on Elbow Cay and eat at the Abaco Inn or at Seaspray Resort. Bring a good hand held spotlight with you. After dinner its family time for listening to music, playig games, reading, or star gazing from the dock.
